DISC GOLF ACES
Whats the best discs to use for begginers who are really new at disc golf?

I have so far, a Valkyrie distance driver, aviar putt & Approach and a Champion stingray multi-purpose disc. Are those good for begginers. I’ve played twice so far, but i would like to play more. My game is still week, i can’t figure out how to get it far, do i need a certain snap, is it about strength, how much am i supposed to be able to lift, i’m not to week. so somone please give me an answer, i want to get an ace one of these day. also i noticed there other types of drives too, are those all nessessary?
I just added the champion leopard to my collection my fairway driver. i’d have to look to see the weights

the stingray, leopard, and aviar are all great discs for beginners.

the aviar putter will hold it’s line for a long time before it begins to fade, and the more you use it and wear it in, the longer it will hold a line.

the stingray is a good one too, it’s a very easy disc to learn how to manipulate so you can throw it however you want to.

the leopard is probably the best beginner’s driver out there because it has a relatively stable flight and it’s a very low speed disc….

those 3 discs were all good choices.

but contrary to what people are saying, the valkyrie is a bad choice for a beginner and here’s why:

the valkyrie is a pretty high speed low glide disc. basically what what means is that in order to throw it, you need to throw it very very hard. once you get your technique down, this is a really nice disc to have because it’s very predictable and consistent.

for a beginner, you should look into a disc with a lower speed rating and a higher glide rating. a lower speed disc will fly farther wih less effort. a lower speed disc also wont cut as hard at the end of your throw.

if you want to use a distance driver as a beginner (which i dont reccomend) you should go with something more along the lines of a Dragon or an Archangel if you prefer innova. Discraft has a few that are good for beginners too, like the XL, Glide, Storm, and XS.
