Disc golf driver weight?
I hurt my rotator cuff, but I wanted to keep playing. In order to do so, I’ve developed a forehand drive that takes a lot of the stress off of my shoulder. My question is, what sort of weights are good to throw forehand? I’ve always thrown heavy driver because they are the easiest to find, but I’ve heard light 150-160 discs can hold their own forehand. I have a decent amount of power (300-350 and improving as I hone in my form). Some discs seem to be too much for me such as the boss and the groove, but that might be a stability issue rather than weight. Right now, I usually throw a 172 gram champion roadrunner. I like it’s understable tendencies, but I’m just wondering if lightening the weight would give me more distance rather than moving to a less stable disc.
it doesn’t make to much of a difference maby 10 feet at MOST. what you can do to test this out for you is get the same disk in 2 different weights (preferably a dx) and throw it see the difference and make your own judgment.
