Frisbee Disc Golf – Maximum Distance Disc?

I am some what new to the “sport” and have a few different drivers but I really want to invest in the “best” disc I can buy that will allow me to throw the furthest as possible. I have the technique where I can throw all my disc pretty straight and somewhat far but I am ready for something better if there is. I’ve checked a few websites such as innova but I really want to know what the pros use or just some personal opinions.

Are you throwing like a frisbee or like a baseball?

If you were on Innova website you saw how the discs were ranked by speed. So, the higher speed rank the farther and faster the disc will fly. However, this is relative to your arm strength. If your arm is not strong enough, you will not generate the power needed to get that 13 speed disc going.

If you have a really weak arm you might throw an Aero further than a driver, because the Aero has a lot of glide. Did you know the Aero was the first disc specifically designed for disc golf and the distance record with it is over 400 feet?

Bottom line, if you keep playing your arm will get stronger. The disc you play with will change as you will want more over stable discs as you improve. With a weaker arm, the over stable discs are hard to throw straight.

What disc are you using now and how far do you throw it? How far can you throw it straight? Tell me and I can recommend some other options for you.
