DISC GOLF XD

I have been playing disc golf for a few months now and I could use some help with the Sidearm S curve shot..?
I have done this shot before many times REALLY far, but my problem with it is that I have BAD accuracy, last time I drove it roughly 450 feet but it went out of bounds and NAILED a car parked across the street XD any pointers?
If you have a 450 foot forehand you’re already throwing forehand with the best of them. It’s hard to throw over 300 feet.
The main point of throwing forehand is for accuracy, backhand is generally a longer shot because you can produce more snap and follow through, and it’s much easier to throw a hyzer-flip backhand.
I’m guessing by s-curve you mean anhyzer, which, if you’re right-handed, means the disc’s axis is tilted left when you throw, then turns over to be tilted right as it glides and fades. So it follows a regular S pattern rather than backwards S (which right-handed backhand anhyzer does)
The best way to control a forehand anhyzer is to control the height. The higher you throw, and the higher the degree of anhyzer, the less sure you can be where it’s gonna end up. If you’re launching the disc high, then counting on gravity to speed it up as it turns over while descending, there’s a lot of room for error. Reduce the tilt and height, and you reduce the error.
Try throwing the disc with only about 10 degrees of tilt and elevation, so that it hits a height of maybe 30 feet. This robs the arm of power a bit so try to work some footwork into your snap. Eventually the discs should fly predictably.
Getting a more stable disc could extend the path of your anhyzer shot. Once an anhyzer hits fade, it’s pretty much done, cause it’s going sideways and down. A stable disc turns over more slowly, so it’ll stay in each phase of the S longer and thus get more distance. That can compensate for reducing the height.
If you keep throwing forehand, be careful not to injure your back.

DX XD The XD has a low profile, thin rim which promotes a secure grip and an easy, natural release. These features combined with straight flight characteristics make the XD an easy to throw and control disc. It is the most driver-like putter we have and is useful for putts, drives and approach shots. Good disc for developing a “touch” around the basket.
