The unorthodox putter is a combination of two putter designs: the extended mallet head from the Odyssey White Hot 2 ball putter and the “fangs” length of the Odyssey White Hot #7 putter. This hybrid of two odd putter designs has made one super putter.
The weight distribution of the two ball mallet head gives the golfer a smoother stroke and is more forgiving if you don’t make contact with the golf ball exactly right. The fangs and two white discs give the putter much-needed aid when aligning the putt, and both pros and duffers are taking advantage.
I took the putter out to the links to give it a shot myself. The first thing I noticed is the weight distribution. Some putters feel like a stick with an s, not a club for there is brick on the end of it. This putter has a very even feel to it, and subtle hand movements are translated quite well through the end of the club.
