DISC GOLF DISCS SETS
Local government help?
I want to know, how someone proposes something to be done in the city like at a park, I also want ot know how to propose the subject. This is what i want to do:
In the City of Mauldin, there is a park called Springfeild park. That park has open areas behind the baseball and football feilds that, I think we could utilize. A disc golf course is what I think could go in there. a few people have even gone through and found where a 9 hole course could esily fit in there. It doesn’t interfere with any of the fields and could be set up in a day.
So, how do we show this, and are there any laws that I need to worry about?
Call your city hall and get scheduled to present your observation to the mayor at their monthly meeting.
Draw up your proposal on paper to show how the project will fit into the area you propose so they can see what you are talking about. It also alows them to pass it on the their city manager and city engineer to determine the cost and if it is safe and fits in the space you want.
If you just talk and don’t show any drawings then it will not get on paper to be shown to the people in charge that need to see what you are talking about. No one in government is going to do the work for your idea unless they play frizbee golf. It helps to have as many supporters, especially adults because the adults vote and the people you will be talking to need adult votes to keep their jobs.
