DISC GOLF SHOES
Stepped on a nail today……..?
So earlier today I was disk golfing and I stepped on an old rusty nail that went straight through my shoe and sock and slightly penetrated my skin. It bled for only a few seconds and then stopped. I also know my last tetanus shot was 4 years ago so its still in effect.
However when I walk on that foot the area feels really sore, is this normal or should I see a doctor?
Yeah, it’s normal if you didn’t clean the wound properly. It could just be the pain of the puncture, but you will have to watch for infection. If the skin begins to redden around the wound, and expand over time, you will need to see a doctor for an antibiotic. Clean the wound a few times a day with hydrogen peroxide and keep it covered.
